150,000 miles
The Camry rolled 150,000 miles the other day and is still going strong. You gotta love a Toyota engine. The next 150K may take a bit longer, given that I’m driving about 6 miles a day now that I use GRTC for my commute.
I’m also considering the occasional bicycle commute after talking with a co-worker who has ridden almost the same route I’d have to take. The thought of a 12 mile, one-way ride in Richmond isn’t exactly comforting though.
Likelihood of me chickening out and not doing it: 98%
FWIW, I had an ‘85 Toyota Celica GT that I managed to put almost 300k on the dial because selling it for a family vehicle. Never gave me any complaints even when I was commuting daily between Williamsburg and Richmond.
