Entertaining AND Nice.

Yesterday I posted a quick note about 88Slide - The Daily One Minute Trivia Challenge.  By my estimation, I sent a handful of page views to their site yesterday - not very much in my mind. Noah Bonnett, Creator & Executive Producer of 88Slide, seemed to think otherwise though - because he sent me a thank you note.

Some companies understand the value of sales manners, some don’t.

It takes a lot of effort to get people’s attention these days - it takes even more to retain it. A few page views represent potential new customers and Noah and crew understand the importance of each one of them.

Noah is setting himself up for continued success by focusing on business fundamentals, like following some of justsell.com’s basic Sales Manners:

  • Always say "please" when asking for something (or for someone to do something).
  • Always say "thank you" when someone gives you something or does something for you.
  • Avoid using profanity.
  • Send handwritten notes of thanks when appropriate (e.g., for meetings, business, referrals, etc.). Email, IMs, and text messages are the least you can do… literally.

Thanks for the note, Noah and thanks for providing now two examples of “doing things right” when it comes to new media.

If you haven’t already, check out 88Slide.com. Today’s episode has a good bit with Dr. Philjit and a surprise guest that we all know at love at the very end…
