BF2MC Xbox 360 demo

EA is releasing a demo version of BF2MC for Xbox 360 on Mar 24th.
Gamespot has a piece today on the upcoming release of BF2MC for the Xbox 360. Since most games these days run close to 60 bucks a pop, it’s great to be able to download a demo to try before you buy it.
EA is also giving first-person shooter fans a free peek at another game from its library. A demo for Battlefield 2: Modern Combat is scheduled for release on March 24, according to the game’s official Web site. The demo will also feature the largest multiplayer support to date for the system, with 24 players able to play in the same game.
I’ll be interested to see if EA improves the game outside of using better graphics and sound options. The biggest downsides to the current release are service related issues (dropped connections, lag, etc) which are outside of the game developer’s control.
I wonder if EA will improve the quality of the game servers and let people host their own games? Not likely.
Well EA does it again, No BF2 on Microsoft Marketplace but if you call them you get this message:
“Hi,
Thank you for contacting Electronic Arts.
The game was to be on the marketplace this Friday 24th of March, but it was pushed back until next week. It should be up some time between Tuesday the 28 or Wednesday the 29 of March.

Sorry to hear that - although I’m not all that surprised given EA’s track record for this game to date.
It’s a shame because the Xbox version is such a great game and the 360 version looks like it’s even better.
