USPS package with SD memory card and receipt from ChiTek Corp

Maybe I should have opened the package sooner—or maybe I should have just paid a little more and bought the SD cards here in town. It’s not like they’re hard to find.

I found a good deal on a Philips digital photoframe and bought it for my mom. It accepts SD memory cards, so I ordered two 1GB cards at a great price through an Amazon store run by ChiTek Corp. They immediately shipped my package and I got the order much faster than I expected.

My mistake was not opening the package as soon as it arrived to confirm the contents.

I’d planned on preloading a bunch of images on the cards for my mom and so this morning, exactly 2 weeks after it was delivered, I opened the package only to find half of my order - 1 1GB SD card.

The packing slip states that 2 were shipped but I don’t have them. I’m guessing that someone at ChiTek either accidentally forgot to pull the second card from the warehouse or they left it sitting on the packing table and sent 1/2 of my order out the door thinking it was complete.

I sent a note to their customer service through the Amazon store asking for the second card but after reading their seller feedback, it sounds like others have had problems getting in touch with them. We’ll see…

Until then, mom will have to do with one card.

Excellent. After a brief email exchange with customer service at ChiTek about the problem, they sent the second card.

Ordered a 4 gig card when wanting a 2 gig micro card. Went thought the hoops to send back and paid more shipping . got conformation back for return. They sent another wrong card. Sent it back. Told them to send the right 2 gig micro card. Have never received it after 2 months waiting. They said they were sorry but still no card and they have my money. They are crooks and should be put out of bus.

I ordered an 8GB Micros SD card and thought it was coming from Buy.com - a company I had used before. When I recieved the wrong part, I found out it was from Chitek, and Buy.com just referred me to them to get it fixed.
I did get an RMA number from Chitek, but they have not shipped the correct part nor refunded my purchase. They have not replied to my last email. Both phone numbers I found on the web for them were incorrect.
This is exactly why I wanted to order from a larger company I thought I could trust - or at least call if something went wrong!
