A nice, dry Riesling

Apparently, the Finger Lakes are closer to Virginia than they appear.
I stopped by a local wine retailer tonight on my way to pick up some Thai food for my girls. My plan was to find a nice, dry Riesling from Virginia that would compliment dinner and make me forget about my raging head cold.
I made my way to the Virginia wine section, at which point the cold meds must have kicked and I stopped paying attention. Although I thought I was in the Virginia section, I managed to bring home something from the Finger Lakes region in New York—a 2006 Brickstone Cellars Dry Riesling from Widmer.
Talk about a nice surprise. Crisp, dry, well balanced, and a great finish—all for $10.99.
If you’re looking for something to compliment your next Thai or Chinese meal, I can definitely recommend this wine.
That said, can someone recommend a Virginia Riesling?
No. Almost. Yes!

Back in March, YouTube released a video analytics tool called YouTube Insight. It lets anyone with a YouTube account view detailed statistics about the videos that they upload including how often their videos are viewed in different geographic regions, how popular they are relative to all videos, and many other statistics.
I hadn’t bothered to check my stats until now because I rarely upload videos to my account.
Logging in yesterday though proves what I’ve known all along…
I’m a ladies man.
Check my YouTube stats.

Great examples of creative banner advertising. The target market is well defined, the designer’s use of ad space is well crafted and executed, and most importantly, the visual elements of the ad (destroying a “wall” in the ad to get somewhere else on the page") perfectly aligns with one of the great features in EA’s Battlefield: Bad Company, destructible environments.

Well done Grupo W!
I personally believe online media are still relevant in the online marketing mix, however I also think that if you decide to advertise online you have to do it in the right way… which means by using rich media and a serving technology such as Eyeblaster or Tangozebra that allows you to be really creative and interactive.
The whole point is quite straightforward: being creative and interactive is nothing special, it simply means to use and exploit the Web at full for its potentials. And the first campaign I’d like to present you is a great practical example of such approach.
